FAQs

Popular questions regarding our fireworks...

What happens if it rains?

We get wet! But the fireworks don’t! As we are a UK fireworks company, we know that the great British weather can be unpredictable at the best of times, because of this all fireworks are fully waterproofed onsite, which means the display can go on even if it is raining!

My venue says they only allow low noise fireworks – do you do this and what does it mean?

Yes we do offer low noise displays. This basically means that the display is still very varied with lots of colour and different effects, but the loud bangs are removed, but the firework displays still remains very exciting and intense.

What areas of the UK do you cover?

Simply – anywhere in the UK – distance is not an issue to Jonathan's Fireworks Limited. If you are looking at our minimum packages there may be additional charges for travelling, but we can supply you a quote for this, it will be charged at cost in any case. We often perform displays 200 or 300 miles from home!

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes, we do require a deposit to secure all bookings, we ask for a 25% deposit to secure a booking. The final balance invoice will usually be issued 3 to 4 weeks prior to the display. We ask for payment to reach us at least 7 days prior to the display date. If you prefer, you can pay in full when booking.

What time can we have the display?

Timing of the display can be when ever you like. However, there is now a firework curfew law in place, which means your display must be finished by 11pm. The only exceptions being New Years Eve, November 5th, Chinese New Year and Diwali.
Our most popular time slot is between 9 and 10pm – but it can be as late as 10:50pm (depending on the duration of the display). If you are unsure of what time it gets dark in the summer months give us a call to discuss your concerns but usually in the height of summer 10.30pm is a perfect time. Some venues do have a firing time restriction, please ask your venue if this is their policy.

I want to try and keep the display a surprise – is this possible?

Yes it is. Our vehicles are NOT sign written and we can arrange for our staff to wear a plain uniform. We have given many guests, brides and grooms the surprise of their lives when they think they are just going outside to have there photo taken – and then the fireworks begin, or they are handed a remote control and press the button and the fireworks start! What a great wedding present!

Can we have our display fired to music?

Yes we have a range of packages to suit all budgets if you are looking for a fireworks display to music – check out our musical fireworks

My venue have never had fireworks before, will you talk to them to answer any questions they have?

We would be happy to speak to your venue about any questions or concerns they have about the fireworks. We would be happy to go and meet with them to discuss everything and also conduct a full site survey. This is all part of the service we offer.

Do you have insurance?

Yes we have £10 million public liability insurance.

My venue has asked if you can provide a risk assessment, is this possible?

Yes we will supply them with a risk assessment along with a copy of our insurance details as standard. Again this is all part of the service
